Discovery Bay Pirates have been a successful minis and junior rugby club over the past 7 years and with the player base growing year on year the club has decided that the 2011-2012 season will see us expand the Clubis into adult (Senior) rugby.
 
The focus of the team will be to provide a natural progression for those players who have been a Pirate within the mini and junior sections and wish to continue to play rugby into their adult life. The team is also to provide a community focus for senior rugby within Discovery Bay, bringing together the extensive rugby knowledge within the community and creating a real rugby identity.
 
Many senior clubs within Hong Kong are, and have been, nomadic, based on groups of friends or associations rather than the community basis of most clubs around the world. The DB Pirates Senior team looks to create the same community focus with a positive team ethic, strong commitment to training and playing and importantly a large social element.
 
Training takes place from 8pm to 9:30pm on Wednesdays at the Siena Sports Pitch (behind the community hall in the North Plaza) and games are played on Saturday afternoons in the Hong Kong Championship.
