DB Pirates (Barbarians) Youth Boys Kick of Training at Kings Park

We kicked off our pre-season training across our u12 to u18 Youth boys on Thursday 28th August. The DB Pirates Youth Rugby programme welcomes players aged 12-18, offering boys and girls divisions in a dynamic 15-a-side format. To ensure ample game time and skill-matched competition, we form a Barbarians team alongside the Sai Kung Stingrays and Flying Kukris. This collaboration creates a competitive yet inclusive environment tailored to players abilities.
The programme serves as a gateway for aspiring players, opening pathways to Premiership and Championship rugby through Kowloon RFC to be considered for Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) development programmes, and national team opportunities. Alternatively, once players reach 18 years old they can join the DB Pirates Seniors 1st XV for a more social rugby experience.
Training at the youth level is led by professional coaches, including current high-level Hong Kong rugby players and internationally capped athletes, ensuring top-tier guidance. Whether you’re new to rugby or looking to elevate your game, the DB Pirates Youth programme offers a supportive community and clear progression routes.
