On Sunday, 9 February, the Pirates hosted a pre-tour braai (BBQ) to kick off the festivities for the 2025 Bangkok International Rugby 10s.

The event brought together over 100 players and their families who were gearing up to travel to Thailand and was an excellent opportunity for coaches, parents, and players to get together and distribute the players and supporters kit in preparation for the tournament.

Everyone from the youngest player to the oldest supporter thoroughly enjoyed the day, and the unseasonably good weather while tucking into boerewors rolls and biltong, generously supplied by our sponsors Aitch’s Biltong and Lekker Laa.

A special thanks goes to Dr Sandeep Jain of Bayside Dental for hosting the event on the clinics terrace, providing a picturesque venue that complemented the day’s activities.

The support from our other sponsors Auberge Hospitality, Dough Bros, Endorphin, Figos and Zensation was also instrumental in making the event and upcoming tour a success, showcasing their commitment to the community and the club.

Their support not only helped in organizing this memorable pre-tour event but also signifies the community’s collective spirit and enthusiasm for the upcoming tournament in Bangkok and the future of the club.
