Thinking of Becoming a Referee?

The HKRU have some Level 1 referee courses lined up in the next few months which they would like to invite all interested DB Pirate players, coaches, and other members of the community to attend.

There are many benefits to being a referee including:

  • Senior players looking to finish their playing days may be looking for a way to stay fit, active, and involved in rugby
  • Current players can referee as well as play. Coaches can referee and coach too!
  • Taking the course will build the relationship and understanding between referees and players
  • Players will get a better understanding of the rules and can become better players on the pitch
  • Coaches will get a better understanding of the rules and can incorporate this into their training sessions
